'Free Speech Victory' | Judge Reverses 'Bizarre' Koran Burning Conviction

Armstrong strongly criticises the initial actions of the police, the Crown Prosecution Service, and the district judge for bringing and upholding the original charge, calling the conviction "wrong from the start." He also highlights the shocking circumstances surrounding the event, where the man who attacked Coskun with a knife was only charged with common assault rather than attempted murder, or a terrorism offence. Armstrong points out the inconsistency and suggests it reveals a "profound fear" within the British establishment about doing anything that could be seen to offend the Islamic faith.
