16ft Black Oak slabs tabletops and counter tops

Michigan Northern Black oak hardwoods. The life is about 100 years. They always rot from the inside out. They look a lot like red oak from the grain and the hue/color. It is a species that can be used for tables, countertops, benches, etc... The time is late early March, temps are warming up. It was 30 degrees while working outside with over a foot of snow on the ground. Freeze thaw and there is ice under snow. The air is fresh and cool in the back woods. Believe it or not still need to hydrate to avoid cramping while working and milling slabs. Each slab average 10 minutes with a width varying from 15" to 20". I slab them at 1-1/2" thick for interior walls.
