Below are a few simple steps you can follow: Choose the right stalks by select healthy, fresh lemongrass stalks from the store or garden. Prepare the stalks by cutting about 2-3 inches from the base. Ensure they have a few nodes (the knobby parts where leaves grow). Place the stalks in a glass of water, ensuring that the bottom part (the cut end) is submerged. Then place the glass in a sunny spot and change with cold water every few days. After about 1-3 weeks, you’ll see roots developing from the nodes. Once the roots are a few inches long, plant the stalks in well-draining soil in a pot or garden bed. Keep the soil moist and provide plenty of sunlight. Fertilize occasionally for best growth.
