RRR Post: http://ridersrangersandrambles.com/?p... Blog Post: http://wp.me/pJgaa-Lh --- It's been a while since we had a Sentai sub-line, in fact the last was Boukenger. While the line certainly isn't big (this is the only figure for the foreseeable future), it's at least something. This set includes a slightly pose-able Red Buster figure. He has a shoulder swivel, wrist swivel, ball/socket joint hips, a single joint at the knee, and a swivel at the boot. His head can move too, but not enough to really get a lot of poses. It's a shame he has no elbow articulation, otherwise he wouldn't be that bad. The back of the figure is sadly plagued with screw holes. He also comes off looking rather thin compared to the suit actor in the show. The real star of the set is Cheeda Nick. He comes packaged in bike mode. While it's obvious he's a transformer of sorts, the figure does a pretty decent job at hiding it. Transformation is relatively easy: fold the front section down, swing the arm sections out, and fold the legs down. Tada! While he loses Red Buster's shoulder swivel (it's a simple rotation now) but he does get an elbow joint. The giant wheels can be removed to streamline the figure a bit. While the giant backpack is very off-putting, and could easily have been made more flush with the body with a couple additional swivels, the core of the figure is pretty nice, and it's fun having a Cheeda Nick that can transform. As of this review, there is no confirmation if and when Cheeda Nick will get the S.H.Figuarts treatment, and if that figure will be capable of transformation. With that in mind, I can recommend the set for those that want that function (as well as a cheap but detailed Red Buster). However, the $30 or more retail price tag is steep for what this set has to offer. If you can find it at a good sale, I recommend it, but at the current price, I can't really justify the price. --- Awesome Intro thanks to Ryokuya!
