The Uranian System: How & Why It Works

This webinar introduces the pioneering ideas of Alfred Witte and the revolutionary system known as Uranian Astrology, or the Hamburg School. You will see how symmetry, geometry, and planetary relationships reveal patterns that traditional methods often overlook. The Uranian System is based on angular relationships between planets and chart factors rather than zodiac signs or house divisions. Demonstrations use the tropical zodiac, though the techniques work equally well in the sidereal zodiac because they rely on pure angular measurement. Ancient principles such as antiscia and Arabic Parts form the foundation for this system. An antiscion is the empty point equidistant from a planet on the opposite side of the zero Cancer–Capricorn axis, a line linked to both the Earth's daily rotation and yearly revolution around the Sun. When these cycles are superimposed, the two Suns move in opposite directions and meet at zero Cancer (Northern Hemisphere Noon) and zero Capricorn (Northern Hemisphere Midnight). Antiscia become significant when occupied by another factor at any multiple of 45 degrees, forming what Witte called a planetary picture. The completing factor may be a solar arc direction, a transit, a progression, or even another person's placement. Witte generalizes the axis of symmetry concept, applying it not only to the zero Cancer-Capricorn axis, but to all points in the zodiac. You will also learn how Personal Points identify the most meaningful pictures and how the 360-degree and 90-degree dials make them visible in practice.
