GWR Hall class 6990 'Witherslack Hall' arrives and departs Loughborough Central. On Saturday 1st August, I made a trip over to Loughborough to catch a sight of the newly reopened Great Central Railway in action. All footage was taken from pubic road bridges. This was my first time seeing steam since January because of lockdown measures. The railway is currently operating passenger services from Quorn & Woodhouse station during August weekends, and Loughborough Central station remains closed. However, the train returns to Loughborough after each trip so that the carriages can be cleaned while the engine runs round. I traveled to Loughborough mainline station by train, complying with the rules to wear a face mask and maintain social distancing where possible.
