Welcome to MTBMania! Today we’re taking a deeper look at the brand-new Merida ETMO range — an aluminium full-suspension e-MTB lineup that focuses on delivering real trail performance at more accessible price points. The ETMO series is built around a modern aluminium frame with a mullet setup: 29-inch front wheel for stability and rollover confidence, paired with a 27.5-inch rear wheel for agility and tighter handling. Travel depends on the model. The more trail-oriented versions offer 140 millimeters of suspension travel, while the higher-spec builds step up to 160 millimeters, making them capable enough for aggressive all-mountain riding. When it comes to motors, Merida relies entirely on Bosch systems. Entry and mid-level models feature the Bosch Performance Line PX motor, designed to offer solid power delivery and good value. Higher-end versions come equipped with the Bosch Performance Line CX motor, which delivers stronger torque, more responsive support, and better performance on steep, technical climbs. Battery options vary across the range. Lower models are paired with 540 watt-hour or 600 watt-hour batteries, ideal for standard trail rides and moderate elevation days. Top-tier versions offer a larger 800 watt-hour battery, giving extended range for longer adventures or riders who want maximum support without range anxiety. Pricing is one of the most interesting aspects of the ETMO lineup. The entry-level ETMO 400 starts at approximately £3,650 or around €4,380. At the top of the range, the ETMO 800 — featuring the Bosch CX motor, 800Wh battery, and upgraded suspension components — comes in at roughly £5,250 or about €6,300. Between those two, several intermediate builds allow riders to choose the right mix of motor, battery capacity, and components. Overall, the Merida ETMO range is about delivering reliable Bosch-powered performance, modern geometry, and aluminium durability at a price that makes full-suspension e-MTB riding more attainable. That’s it for this overview — see you on the trails!
