Hey all you Finns and Scandinavians! If some bitterly cold weather and a bunch of snow bit you this week, maybe you were humming tonight's featured song. "I'm going where the weather suits my clothes" is one of its lyrics, along with "sailin' on a summer breeze, and skippin' over the ocean like a stone." Sure makes you think of a better place doesn't it? Even if you weren't humming it, maybe you felt like at some point this week that "Everybody's talkin' at me, I don't hear a word they're sayin', Only the echoes of my mind." My wish for you is that this song sung by Harry Nilsson puts you in a better mood, and you can escape some of the chaos for the next four minutes as you're serenaded by the accordion! Not likely. By the way, on Friday night March 6 I'll be playing a bunch of accordion songs for a social gathering at the local Alliance Church. Even if you're not attending there, maybe you might want to come on out. You have to be at least 30 yrs old though. It's for that age group -- too bad if you're not old enough this time. It might be fun. Maybe bring your earplugs...
