Today we look at the budget end of the sub ohm starter kits. So I introduce you to the 88Vape 50W sub-ohm starter kit. This is a tall slim vape stick that does have its faults. Looking at this vape stick is like going back in time its tall slim with a bottom fill tank that now seems dated looking at what is on offer from other companies in the same market. Lets first look at the battery, its a 1600 mAh battery that is very tall with air feeds at the 510 and the usb charge port is 2/3 up the the stick itself. The battery has the ability to give 30W, 40W or 50W of power to the 510. The slightest vibration on a flat surface will topple the stick it is very unstable and this only gets worse when you add the tank. Now lets take a look at the tank. This slim sub ohm tank with its bottom fill and no ability to break it down to clean is again a step back in time. The airflow control is hard to adjust and the only redeeming feature for me was the coil. The 0.5 ohm coil wicks 80VG liquid without dry hitting which took me by surprise with it tiny wick holes. The biggest fail with this kit is the availability of the coils. I checked the website for 3 months and couldn't get hold of any, Every time I checked they were out of stock. The Kit costs £17.99 The coils cost £4.99 for a pack of three For me there are better sub-ohm stick on the market for very little extra cost.
