(7 Oct 2013) CAGE, WORTHINGTON, IRONS AND TARANTINO GUESTS OF HONOR AT MACAU GALA DINNER AHEAD OF HUADING AWARDS The 10th Annual Huading Image Awards is about to get underway in Macau on Monday Oct. 7th, 2013. Before the awards ceremony, the organizers held a welcome dinner for its distinguished guests. Actors Nicolas Cage, Sam Worthington, Jeremy Irons and director Quentin Tarantino were the guests of honor at the Sunday night dinner. The Huading Awards honors excellence in movies and television in China. It honors the best in China's entertainment industry with categories like Best Actor/Actress, Best Director, Best Television Host, Most Popular Actor/Actress, and Best New Actor/Actress Sam Worthington is no stranger to China. He said that he last visited while filming "Avatar". When asked which Chinese actor he would like to work with the most, the answer is Hong Kong's Kung Fu star Jackie Chan. Worthington said that he grew up watching Chan's films and wouldn't mind making a film in China in the future, because it is a market that truly embraces cinema. Worthington explained, "They (China) embrace movies, they embrace the culture. Look at how many things are here? It's crazy. That means, there's a love for films, there's a love for what I do as a job. It's very humbling to come to a place that appreciates movies and what we tend to do" Nicolas Cage couldn't agree more. The star is currently filming a new project in China and is even considering buying a home in Hong Kong to make it his base in China. To the 49-year old actor, China is the place to be for movie making. "Hollywood kicked us all out of town. China, the rest of the world knows, is the new face of cinema," Cage said. "You're going to have the biggest movie studio in the world in China, and I'm very thankful that Chinese people have always invited me and been warm to me and that we're going to be making a lot of movies here." He finished with a little Mandarin, to say "I love you guys". Other celebrities expected to attend the Huading Image Awards on Monday night include Nicole Kidman, Matthew Perry, and Avril Lavigne.
