Hey foodies! I was recently asked to join Smile Jamaica Morning Time to prepare something delicious for Lent. I had a blast walking Dahlia Harris through how it is that I prepared some delicious Tuna Fish Cakes; that I served up with some Tartar Sauce. I hope you guys enjoy this video and try the recipe below Tuna Fish Cakes Ingredients: 1 Can Tuna Chunked in Water 1/3 Cup Bell Pepper (Chopped) 1 Stalk Escallion (Chopped) 1/2 Onion (Chopped) 1 Tsp Scotch Bonnet Pepper (Chopped) 1/4 Tsp Black Pepper 1/2 Garlic Powder 2 Pinch Salt 1 Egg (Beaten) Oil Instructions: 1. Open and drain tuna through a strainer. Get as much water as possible, but do not dry completely. 2. In a bowl, use a fork and flake tuna. Add onion, escallion, bell pepper, scotch bonnet pepper, black pepper, garlic powder and salt; mix to combine well. 3. Add beaten egg and combine some more. Using a scoop or your had, scoop some mixture into your hand and begin to form a nice ball (hoping from hand to hand helps to fork the balls easily). 4. When ball is formed, use two fingers and press down to make patties. Set aside and form the others until complete. 5. In a skillet add oil and heat. Add the tuna fish cakes and fry on both sides until nice brown/crisp colour is developed. 6. Remove from skillet and blot fry on paper towel. 7. Serve with your favourite sauce and enjoy.
