This video is a 3-in-1 test of BYD Seal #bydseal #seal #byd: 1. Range test on highway in winter conditions (100 km/h, 0 °C) 2. Route planner's SOC estimation (SOC at arrival) accuracy test (v1.4/1.3.1 software version feature) 3. Battery temperature in highway driving: how fast will it pick up fourth one: a BONUS test! #electriccar #electriccars #ev #evcharging #routeplanning #batterytemperature #evbattery #lfp #blade #bladebattery #evrange #rangetest #routeplanner #winterdrive #electricseal #bev #batteryelectricvehicle #electricsedan #sedancars #obd2scanner #obdreader --------------------------------- Get your own OBDII reader for Seal here 👉 https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_op1... Infotainment wallpapers and sound tracks 👉 https://electricseal.gumroad.com --------------------------------- On the Electric Seal channel, we do things differently! We actually do listen to our subscribers: here I take three comments to my recent videos and aim to give answers and insights to all of those. In the range test we'll measure BYD SEAL's capability to drive longer distances on highway in cold temperatures and see what is the total range we can get out of the Blade LFP battery in these conditions. Version 1.3 brought a SOC estimations at arrival into the built-in route planner (see v1.3.1 contents here: • BYD SEAL v1.3.1 Software Update: New Route... ), and here on today's video we will test just how accurate this estimate is for a 160 km highway drive in cold temperature: will the initial SOC estimate hold well or will it slip? Finally, we're going to use OBDII reader to monitor the battery temperature while driving long distances in high speeds to see how much - if at all - will this help the DC charging curve especially in the beginning: does it eliminate the need for battery heating at the chargers, or is that still a bottleneck in the charging session?
