So, it seemed that the 154 was outvoted (sorry TBBG lol), and that most people wanted this, so here it is. A re-done version of my 405 visual that I did back in 2020, which was fairly awful due to the fact that it was really fast at some points, only in 720p and it started to rain as well. This came out a lot better, although apologies for the first few seconds, my suction holder was having a fit but I got it sorted before the second stop. To be honest, I do quite like this route, although not particularly scenic, you get some good speed between Merstham and Coulsdon. However, the fact that a group of at least 10 shouting kids boarded and came and sat right at the back on the top deck didn't make filming very easy lol. Aside from the 465, the 405 is East Surrey’s key gateway into London. I use literally all the time when I go on TFL bus day trips. It’s really useful and pretty fast, taking just over 15 minutes into Coulsdon on Sunday Off-Peak workings when there is little traffic and the timetable is tighter. Without it i’d have to pay up to 3x more expensive fares on routes such as the 357, 420 and 460 to get access to TFL at places like Banstead, Epsom, Caterham or Selsdon. So overall generally a really helpful route that always gets a healthy amount of patronage - I can't recall a single time boarding alone at Redhill.
