Poet, activist and UNHCR High Profile Supporter Emi Mahmoud performs her poem ‘Head over Heels’. The release of this video ties in with the sobering announcement of the millionth South Sudanese refugee reaching Uganda on August 17 2017. More than 85% of the South Sudanese refugees who have entered Uganda are women and children. Recent arrivals continue to speak of barbaric violence. With refugees still arriving in their thousands, the amount of aid UNHCR is able to deliver is increasingly falling short.
