More than 5000 years ago many enormous megalithic monuments, that we now usually refer to as temples, were built on the Mediterranean islands of Malta. Fortunately for us several sites survived the millennia and offer us a glimpse into the life and rituals of the ancient inhabitants of these isolated islands. In this video I'm exploring the Tarxien complex which is made up of four temples, beautiful carvings and interesting features. Come with me on this megalithic journey. #ancienthistory #mediterranean #megalithic ✨ IN THIS EPISODE 00:00 Introduction 01:28 A Megalithic Hub 03:23 One Site, Four Temples 06:24 Interesting Features ✨ JOIN MY CHANNEL / @megalithhunter ✨ FOLLOW ME ON SOCIALS BlueSky: @MegalithHunter.bsky.social ✨ REFERENCES Bonanno, A., (2017).
