Context: Perry Mason's debut on television was in 1957, thus the opening titles and theme. Our family watched Perry Mason quite often back in the day, and in Black and White too. No color television back in the 1950s but we did have quite a collection of old TVs. Our Dad's special talent - repairing old televisions he collected from friends and relatives. He had an old tube tester and replacement tubes for the old cathode ray TVs. It was always interesting to watch him fiddle around in the back of the TV, and then test and replace tubes until, like magic, the TV worked again. What were your favorite TV programs growing up? The family photo collection includes pictures of us camping on Lake Michigan, the Upper Peninsula at Bob Lake, and visits with our French relatives in Ontonagon, White Pine and Bergland. Gram Augusta Menigoz visited her oldest daughter, Regina, in San Bernardino, California during the winter months, and also visited her great grandchildren in Bakersfield and Arlington. Charles and Gloria still lived in the land of enchantment. Charles was stationed at Holloman AFB, near Alamogordo, New Mexico. Robin and Robina were born there. Our Albert Cousins joined us on at least one camping adventure, and also visited the Cencich Family on the Upper Peninsula. Hawley family surname made the cartoon strips on comic page. triveland@cox.net Fri, Jan 23, 7:49 PM to me I really enjoyed this one. Many photos I has not seen before mixed in with some familiar ones. I enjoyed Perry Mason too. I still gravitate towards detective/Who Dunnit type movies on Netflix.
