NBSR 907 Mini Chase Aug 18, 2020 video 2 of 2 New Brunswick Southern Railway locomotives 6315 (ex HLCX EMD SD40-2), 8144 (EMD SD40-2), 6319 (EMD SD40-2), and 917 (ex UP EMD GP38-3) work hard providing traction for a long NBSR manifest train 907 (Saint John, NB NBSR Ponderosa Yard to Brownville Junction, ME) westbound climbing the grade at Welsford, NB with a mix of sun and cloud hauling 109 cars (386 axles) of mixed freight, lumber, empty woodchip gondolas, and 51 well cars of Hapag-Lloyd, and Maersk Line intermodal containers. The containers came off of a couple of diverted container vessels to the Port of Saint John due to labour issues at the Port of Montreal. In total, four container vessels were diverted to Saint John during the month of August. The lead unit "Mr Purple" is still waiting to be painted into the NBSR green after being acquired from Helm Financial (HLCX). Also nice to see the ex UP Geep in the consist!
