It determines who gets play to play offense first which is often a big difference maker in a game's outcome. Right now, everyone in the player base uses the same kickoff strategy in Rocket League. Today, I experimented with some friends to see if we could come up with any strategies that worked better or perfectly countered that standard strategy that everyone uses right now. It was a lot of fun and we actually walked away with something that we'll probably end up using in future ranked games.
