Have you ever been stuck between a rock and a hard place?  A man intentionally tripped Ria when she was bringing out his food. He called her a “useless fool” and said she dropped his meal out of incompetence. The restaurant manager approached them, alerted by the screams. Ria tried to explain that the client tripped her on purpose. But the manager took the rich jerk’s side and told Ria to pay for his dinner out of pocket. He reminded her that soon, a very important investor would arrive. And if she messed up anything again, she’d get fired. Though upset, Ria went about her day. She approached another client to take his order. While they were chatting, the manager appeared again. He glanced at the man, immediately labeled him as “a poor immigrant” and decided he didn’t want him at the restaurant. When the man went to the washroom, the manager locked him inside so that the important investor wouldn’t have to see him. Ria heard the client shouting for someone to let him out. She rushed to the washroom to help. But the manager grabbed her hand and explained that the “immigrant” had to stay hidden.
