National & international acts played the legendary club JC Dobbs including: Dwight Yokum, Lucinda Williams, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Steve Earle, Oasis, Bo Diddley, George Thorogood, and The Jayhawks. We will include unseen footage & interviews plus the reopening of the Legendary Dobbs including the new bands & artists that now continue to play on that sacred stage. With archival photographs, videos and contemporary interviews, award winning filmmaker, George Manney documents the evolution of Philadelphia's fertile music and arts subculture in the 1970's, the sad closing of JC Dobbs in 1996 & the new Legendary Dobbs.
