Years after the events of the NOS. Blau is now a weapons cleaner for competitors and weapon technician. Anarchy and X-Rank battlers want a little something for their needs in their weapons. Slightly larger ink tank, stronger charger output, tighter tolerances. Something and someone to keep their weapons up to their high speed demands. So long as they are approved. Captain Agent 3 meets up with the former Octarian and Staff Sergeant of the New Octarian Society. After some years of messing around in Blender, (and finding actual rigs), I have made my first Splatoon Blender animation. All before I start college again. Making this was a fun, yet bumpy journey. I started working on this a week after new year, but this video in particular was started as soon as the last video was done rendering. I only had two weeks to make this, fix up any quirks that came up, shorten production time, and slap the animation together into a video. Due to the power of my PC (not great), I used GMOD as a rough timing guideline when animating since my PC couldn't handle playing back the animation. It worked...mostly. The rigs are from Teenage Apple. You can find them on Twitter. These rigs are better than the ones in the Models Resource, but I don't thing the eyes and eyelids are rigged well. That explains why the eyes look stiff. Moving the mouth has more freedom than GMOD, but that means using a skill I am not familiar with. The instructions for the eyebrows does not line up with what I was trying to do. My OC does not have a missing piece of his eyebrow. Trying to connect the shader nodes to make the jacket blue would take too much effort for what it was worth, so I kept it green. Looks nice. From how I did things, there was no skybox in the later shots, teehee. Captain was signing something off camera, but I didn't animate that YET because of time contraints. The most problematic thing I need to familiarize myself with more is the camera. I was fighting with the camera more than anything. I will not apologize for the jankiness feeling because the first time in anything is never "good enough". If anything, I feel joyful because I did something I thought I could never do a year ago. As always. Thank you for watching!
