A real disciple-making church in South Asia

The Power of Authentic Leaders in Action Silk and I we were in this church that she was really touched by the warmth of the family and friendship—about 100 or 150 people. They asked me to preach that day which was just a wonderful honor and privilege. I had been asked to talk about disciple-making. So I preached this fairly strong message about it, hoping maybe I can inspire this congregation to be disciple makers. Little did I know that they were already very actively doing this. It is really amazing to see the power of authentic Asian Access leaders in action. The pastor is one of our key leaders, and he's invested deeply in this church—so much so that the very things I was talking about they had been doing for many years. In fact they were even planning to plant three new churches in their city in this next year or two. Somebody came up afterwards to talk to me. One of the foreigners who is attending that day came up to me and said: “Joe, you know what you were preaching about, this church really lives out those values. That's why I chose to live here. I've only been in country about six months. I travel all around the city. This is the only church that I've seen that really deeply lives out the ideals of making disciples of all people.” That's pretty awesome. I was encouraged to see again that our key Asian Access leaders across Asia are not only teaching the ideals of making disciples and planting reproducing churches, they're actually doing it.
