"Who says hostel students can't cook full meals? 😍🍚" In today’s video I prepared 3 simple homemade dishes using only a rice cooker 🍚✨ Perfect for Hostel and PG students — no gas and no kitchen required. I cooked: ✔️ Rice ✔️ Dalma (Famous Odia dish) ✔️ Saga Bhaja (Traditional leafy vegetable dish) This is a simple, budget-friendly and healthy meal that anyone can make in a hostel 🍚 1. Rice Preparation • 3/4th bowl basmati rice • 2 bowls water • Cook for 30 minutes Rice is ready. 🥕 2. Dalma (Authentic Odia Dish) Vegetables used: • Brinjal • Potato • Tomato • Carrot • Pumpkin • Papaya Steps: 1.Wash and cut vegetables. 2.Add vegetables into rice cooker. 3.Add 150 gm washed dal. 4.Add salt and turmeric (about 1/2 tbsp each). 5.Cook for 40 minutes. Tadka: • Oil • Cumin • Garlic • Green chilli • Onion • Tomato • Homemade masala Prepare tadka in rice cooker and mix cooked dalma. Add coriander leaves at the end. Dalma is ready 🌿 🥬 3. Saga Bhaja (Odia Leafy Dish) Steps: 1.Cut leafy vegetables (saag). 2.Add oil in rice cooker. 3.Add cumin, garlic and onion. 4.Add salt. 5.Add chopped saag and green chilli. 6.Add little water. 7.Cook for 10 minutes. Saga Bhaja is ready 🌿 This is very useful for Hostel and PG students who don’t have gas or kitchen.
