Liz and I recently took a trip down to south Florida, to Everglades National Park for a week long camping and fishing trip in one of the wildest and most beautiful places on earth, the Everglades, and surrounding Florida Bay. This is Part 1 of a two part series covering out adventures from catching and cooking blue crabs in a coffee pot to camping on remote and uninhabited islands. We had a great time primitive camping on the islands and catching fish. It's hard to believe that, in a place like Florida, wild country still exists. With a little effort, you can get away from the tourists and still find solitude in Florida's Backcountry. In part two, Liz and I take the boat all the way across Florida bay to the Florida Keys.
