Episode 029 - Dunedin is the second-largest city in New Zealand’s South Island. Known for its Scottish heritage, Victorian architecture, and a large student population, Dunedin is also home to the country’s best wifi! The highlights of Dunedin include the historic Dunedin railway station in Anzac Square, beautiful St. Clair Beach, and the popular Tunnel Beach. Historic Train Station As we explored the mosaics of this beautiful train station, we met a local photographer who asked if he could take some photos for a local advertisement. Check us out in his video (skip ahead to 56 seconds!), as adventureViV and CameraMan walk hand-in-hand under the colorful, autumn leaves.   / 10156052500915090   St. Clair Beach is a lovely beach and popular amongst residents and tourists! It’s a great spot for swimming, surfing, and general people watching. Tunnel Beach is a secluded beach that was once inaccessible to all. However, this hand-hewn tunnel was built in the 1870s, as a gift from John Cargill to his daughters. Awesome gift, right?! (Hint hint, CameraMan…!) Otago Peninsula: Wildlife Capital of New Zealand The Otago Peninsula is home to an abundance of magnificent wildlife, including The Royal Albatross, the endangered Yellow-Eyed Penguin, Little Blue Penguins, NZ Fur Seals, NZ Sea Lions, and more! Watch to see just how cute the Little Blue Penguins are as they come ashore to nest for the evening. Harbour Cone, The Chasm, and Lovers Leap A number of walkways give you access to many breathtaking views and sheer cliff faces like The Chasm and Lovers Leap. The top of Harbour Cone, climbing to 315 meters or just over 1000 feet above sea level, can be reached by foot from several places. Moeraki Boulders Driving up the coast from Dunedin to Oamaru, you have to stop and check out the Moeraki Boulders! What an incredible sight - spherical boulders that look like dinosaur or alien eggs.
