A fairly lengthy block of Nickelodeon promos and interstitials recorded during a morning of "Nick Jr" programming, way back in the Winter of 1991. Loads of "Nick Jr" programs are represented here; everything from "The Adventures of Little Koala," to "The Elephant Show." Promos for the newly-created "Nicktoons" block that debuted in August of 1991, as well as programs from the "O-Zone" block, including "Inspector Gadget," and "Danger Mouse." Neato products are endorsed, including "Puppy Surprise," an early cartridge from Super NES: "Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball," and an infomercial for "StringRacer." One of those toys that could easily be enlisted into your action figure battles, I wish I had a "StringRacer" during those wonderful days. Also, a bevy of PSAs, namely for the "Boys And Girls Club." One with our favorite DC heroes, and another about the return of a Michael J Fox clone to his alma mater. Foodstuffs that are promoted include cereals like "Cap N' Crunch," "Fruity Pebbles," and "Frosted Mini-Wheats." I remember being quite startled that the "Captain" had gone missing. Apparently he was found, safe and sound. Or, Maybe, the Captain we've had the last 25 years is a clone, a la Ben Reilly to our Peter Parker. How's that for a digression, and an obscure comic book ref? All in all, a real neat set of commercials, that included all manner of Nickelodeon programming, despite airing during the "Nick Jr" slate, aimed primarily at pre-schoolers.
