In a tragic incident in Bijapur district, 8 soldiers were martyred, and a driver was killed in an IED blast planted by Naxals. The attack occurred on the main route between Kutu and Vidra, where a Scorpio carrying the soldiers was caught in the blast. The explosion caused parts of the vehicle to be thrown as far as 200-300 meters. The blast resulted in significant damage, with the body parts of the deceased soldiers scattered over a wide area. This marks a major setback for the security forces in the region.
