In Ephesians, the Apostle Paul writes to the early-Christian church in Ephesus to tell them of their place in the divine story. He tells them that the power of Jesus’ resurrection and a Kingdom inheritance is available to them as children of God. “That’s great for them,” you might think. “But what does that mean for us today?” Great question! Now that 2,000 years have come and gone, do we enjoy the same privilege as the Ephesian church? And here’s the important question: if the answer is yes, how should we live? Join Pastor Chad and Dr. Frank M. Hasel as they continue their exploration of the New Testament book of Ephesians in our third episode of this third season, “The Truth About Divine Power and Inheritance.” If you’d like to study the Bible with someone or have questions about the content within this study, please reach out to us by leaving a comment or by sending an email to youtube@spencervillechurch.org. About the Biblical Perspectives Video Series: When we set out to create this video series, it was to bring our audience into a conversation on relevant topics between a pastor and a theologian. However, in addition to having them offer personal opinions, we challenged them to share what the Bible says about this quarter’s topic. Over the next 14 episodes, Pastor Chad Stuart and Dr. Frank Hasel will dive into the New Testament book of Ephesians. They’ll take us along as they look at the theology and practices of the early-Christian Ephesian church and what we can learn from them and the Apostle Paul’s letters to them.
