Welcome back to the farmhouse! This weekend was a reminder that renovation is not always about big transformations. Sometimes, it’s about slowing down, adjusting the plan, and embracing the everyday. In today’s video, I share a glimpse into our evolving lifestyle now that we've moved closer to the house we’ll be renovating. I explain why not every weekend will be about major works, and how I’m also embracing a more balanced, aesthetic pace of life. We begin with installing our robotic lawn mower (Dreame A2), a quiet little helper to keep the garden tidy as we move forward with other projects. Then, I attempt to activate the hot water cylinder — but things don’t go as planned. Spoiler: a plumber might be needed sooner than expected. So I decided to shift gears and return to the garden. I set up the hose, watered the plants, and took some time to prune the hydrangeas and tend to the roses, a peaceful moment I really needed after the frustration indoors.
