Classic TV Theme: University Hospital
Back in 1989 Aaron Spelling created a show called 'Nightingales' (theme posted in this series). It didn't last long and critics tore it apart, saying it was just an excuse to see a lot of pretty young nurses in their nightgowns. Hey, thought Spelling, they're right; this is too good an idea not to use again. So about five years later he created 'University Hospital' - exactly the same premise, new young nurses, and new nightgowns. It was a replacement show for one that flopped on the 'Spelling Premiere Network', a handful of shows he tried to syndicate to individual stations. 'Hospital' only ran nine episodes to fill out the rest of the season, and there it ended. Not many familiar names in the cast but it turns out Hillary Danner was related to both Blythe Dinner and Gwyneth Paltrow. It helps to have connections. Theme by Ken Harrison.
