International students’ voices and honest responses to some of the perceptions and questions from Brisbane residents and media are showcased in this video. It opens a safe, supportive and creative space for them to share their lived experience, struggles and concerns in Brisbane. There’s a potential opportunity to break down the barriers between wider community and International Students for a better connection and improved life experience. By understanding the diversity in International Students’ community and the talents of individuals, we would love to hear your voices and opinions on international students’ lives in Brisbane. Please come and join us at the International Student Voice Forum on Friday, 18th of October, Level 5, E Block, QUT Kelvin Grove Campus, where we can connect, chat and make a change. There will be fun socialising activities, guest speakers (international students, Alumni), free food and focus groups. Register via Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com.au/e/74384... The International Student Voice Forum is led and run by a group of international students, who belong to a group called Connecting International Students Brisbane. The CISB Working Group is a partnership between students, community organisations, universities and Brisbane City Council. Its main aim is to develop collaborative responses to the interests and needs of international students living in Brisbane’s South, to support their wellbeing and positive experiences of community life.
