Algonquin College cuts: 30 programs facing suspension

Algonquin College is planning to suspend 30 academic programs in Ottawa and Pembroke, Ont., citing a multimillion-dollar deficit and the federal cap on international students. CTV’s Stefan Keyes reports on the recommendation going to the Board of Governors on Feb. 23. Affected courses include Journalism, Hospitality, and Computer Programming. The college says current students will be able to finish their studies, but no new students will be admitted.
