Daily Recap January 21st 2026

Oooos I dozed off on the kid and need to change his diaper again before he falls asleep. Last night was but he was restless and even his equipment was making noise. Amber helped us today and he was super excited to wake up to her. That little arms can go so high now. We ended up changing his trach, reading then heading to therapy. First he had occupational therapy where we worked on slowing and steadying his arms and also placement of items. He then had speech where he clearly communicated and you could even see his responses on his face. Ms Julie has normal conversation with him and we spoke about him not caring for work. It was encouraging to know that it was his way of making choices. Like most little boys who may not care to sit still, he expresses his disdain by falling out or ignoring either from boredom or delivery of challenges. Once home he had school where he continued working on his name. Let’s just say his hands are getting stronger but perhaps his own delivery can be worked on as he grows, matures and learns how to express himself better. Ofcourse he found his spit again but at least he helped with night care tonight. I’m sleepy, nigh y’all. By the way, we have a winter storm for his birthday (rolls eyes).just my luck he is up fussing still. Today we pray that we embrace the challenges of our own journeys leaning now on our own understanding, but acknowledging our differences yet our abilities to still connect with each other through various forms of expression and reactions. May we adjust our perspectives with kindness and empathy yet with reality at the forefront for each other through various approaches.
