There's only one thing standing in her way -- her mother's toxic boyfriend, Leroy, who keeps drinking away the tuition money her mother had saved for her. When Rae finds out Leroy has been stealing her mother's pain pills, she does the unthinkable to save herself and her mother. She slaughters her step father in her family's meathouse, and processes the body to sell for grocery money on the side of a dusty backroad.
