This video describes the procedure and tools to replace the GM Oil Pressure Sensor (aka Sender) on 6.5L Diesel engines from 1996 and up only for Chevrolet, GMC, and Holden such as Suburban Silverado Sierra Cheyenne Tahoe and Yukon . The procedure for 1995 and earlier is different. For the 1996 1997 1998 1999 2000 2001 and 2002 models the part no longer is used to control the fuel lift pump actuation, and has been relocated to just forward and to the LH side of the fuel filter housing. The intake manifold runner in this area blocks ready access to the part, requiring removal of the intake manifold if following the GM shop manual procedure. In this video, I show you an easier way with the right specialty tool.
