And at the end, when you’re in love, no matter what happens, you forgive each other.” _________________________________________________________ Okay, so I’m actually surprisingly pleased with how this turned out, especially given how much I disliked some of it as I was working on it…maybe it’s just my mind convincing myself that I didn’t waste a ton of hours on it, but I’m going to go ahead and assume it’s because it’s actually decent, haha… Plus, I quite like this coloring (it was inspired by one of AerisCruent’s, she makes such incredibly beautiful colorings!) And to all you other lovely people who have commented - I really can’t thank you enough, knowing that there are people out there who enjoy watching my videos is half the reason why I’ve continued to make them, so thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to write these things that always make me smile! _________________________________________________________ About the video - I wanted to include a bit more of Iris’s perspective, so hopefully that came through. I used a lot of the 1x21 voiceovers with regards to her feelings about Barry rather than about him keeping his powers a secret, because to me those two things have always become tangled together - like when Barry says “I’m fast now! God I just want to tell you, how I feel, how you MAKE me feel!” he starts off with keeping his powers a secret, and then it becomes about keeping his feelings a secret. And when Iris gets really angry at Joe for lying about The Flash, she suddenly makes that accusation about keeping Barry’s feelings a secret from her. So I feel like at least a tiny portion of her anger at Barry was some unspoken/pent-up frustration about him waiting over a decade and until she was in a committed relationship to tell her he’s been in love with her his whole life. And to be honest, this was more the reaction I was hoping for in 1x15, but I guess with the tidal wave coming and all, anger wasn’t really the proper emotion for that scenario, haha… In my last description I mentioned my favorite episode for Olicity, so I thought I’d do the same here for WA :D The one I was the most giddy/fangirling over at the time was 1x20 for sure (seriously, it was almost scary! thank goodness I was alone…), but looking back on all of them, 1x09 is by far my favorite. If I had to choose a favorite scene from that one it would be the confession scene, but really all of them are amazing for their own unique reasons. The gift-giving scene + THE HUG was beautiful, it shows how much they know and mean to each other; the scene where Iris confronts Barry about his feelings and he can’t bring himself to tell her the truth, that had such perfect acting with so many undertones and subtleties to it, every time I watch it I think I find something new (and Barry’s expressions are so freaking heartbreaking)…anyway, I could probably go on and on, I’m basically in love with this episode… But my favorite moment of all is probably when Barry walks into Jitters way back in 1x01 and Iris practically bowls him over as she jumps into his arms, because that is how much she loves and needs him ♥ Anyway, I’m SO incredibly excited for season 2 to start, especially since we now know that Iris won’t be angry with Barry, in fact she’ll be a huge part of him coming back/regaining his confidence, so that makes me really happy :) But as for vidding this season…not sure how much I’ll be able to do. If I do episode-specific videos, they’ll have to be really short and/or simple ones, I just don't have enough time these days :(
