Ken Bradbury, Wisconsin’s state geologist and the director of the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey, University of Wisconsin–Extension, will outline the geologic history of Wisconsin and how geology affected settlement and development. He will introduce some of Wisconsin’s outstanding geological sites and features, such as Devil’s Lake, Van Hise Rock, the Niagara Escarpment, and the Kettle Moraine. Finally, he will talk about the work of the Wisconsin Geological and Natural History Survey, and how WGNHS geologists study Wisconsin’s rocks, minerals and groundwater to address current and future needs of the state.
