I just came back from a weekend in Germany, visiting Movie Park Germany. I thought it would be a nice weekend, enjoying a beautiful park. But I was wrong, I had fun, but the park itself is a little outdated. It feels like they just built it and walked away from it, not developing anything, not caring anymore. So that will be my last time visiting Movie Park Germany, unless they decide to give the whole place a facelift, then I would consider going back. But until then.. I’m just not doing it. Heading back home we were already talking about visiting another park, something better. With that in mind I went ahead and got information on the 20 biggest amusement parks across Europe, based on the yearly visitors count of 2012. Check the whole list below. 20. Heide Park, Germany The Heide Park Resort is a theme park in Soltau, Germany. The park has an area of 850,000m² (210 acres), making it one of the biggest amusement parks of Germany. Last year the park pulled in a total of 1,300,000 visitors. 19. Duinrell, The Netherlands In Wassenaar, Netherlands lies Duinrell amusement park on an area of 110 acres. Duinrell has something for everyone, but the attractions are mainly aimed for family with children. Duinrell was visited by 1.3 million people last year. 18. Mirabilandia, Italy Mirabilandia is an Italian amusement park, located in Savio, Italy. The park has an area of 30 hectares (74 acres), with an additional Waterworld area of 10 hectares, called Mirabilandia Beach. It’s the home to Europe’s second tallest Ferris wheel, Eurowheel. The park draw 1,390,000 visitors in 2012. 17. Gröna Lund, Sweden 1,408,200 people have visited Gröna Lund in Stockhol, Sweden in 2012. The park first opened his doors 130 years ago. The park has about 30 rides, including five roller coasters. Gröna Lund is not only known for the attractions, but also for the concerts that were and are given at the park. Even late Bob Marley performed in the park. 16. Puy Du Fou, France Le Puy du Fou is a historical theme park located in Les Epesses, in Western France. The park hosts the largest evening performance in the world with over a 1000 actors on the largest stage in the world (23 hectares – 57 acres of stage). The park brought 1.6 million visitors last year. It won an award for the “World’s Best Theme Park” elected by an independent jury in 2012. 15. Legoland Billund, Denmark Located next to the original Lego factory and Denmark’s second busiest airport, Billund Airport, is the park Legoland Billund. Almost everything is made of LEGO in this 15 football field large amusement park. It has a miniland where, just like Madurodam everything is made 20 times smaller, but out of LEGO. Last year Legoland Billund was visited 1.65 million times. For collaborations and business inquiries, please contact via Channel Pages: http://ChannelPages.com/listarama
