My first mural in Sweden is a fact! To be more precise, in Jönköping, on a government building where the Swedish Forest Agency and the Swedish Board of Agriculture are located. Thanks to TAG for making this possible and inviting me for this amazing job! 💜 It was a very special assignment, because when I flew to Sweden to paint this wall, I had no idea what I would be making! Lennart and Kristina of @artytag first wanted to show my intern Elwin Plaisier and me around, so that I could get inspired by the local flora and fauna. Such a cool concept, and I am very sure that I would have never come up with a floating otter wrapped in lupines if it wasn't for this inspiration tour. 😅 In my painting I show an otter, an animal that can be found in the many lakes in this area of Sweden. 🦦 I chose it because of the shape of the wall, I was looking for some animal that would fit perfectly on top of the wall but also on the longer vertical side. Also because of his vulnerable state, even though the otter population is currently growing. The lupine is an invasive plant, that takes over local nature. So I combined a wanted animal with an unwanted plant. That contradiction is very interesting to me. A huge shoutout to my intern Elwin Plaisier, who helped me like a champ. Thanks man!
