"Epilogue: Fragile Daybreak" (Just-Intonation)

This is the fifth & final track from my fully-improvised solo piano album in just-intonation, "Pale Waters". A calm reflection on the previous improvisations, it provides closure to many of the hasty or unanswered questions from the earlier musical meditations. It flows and weaves, but is always light & reflective by nature. The water is at rest, waiting, waiting for another dusk. Tuning (in cents): 0 = 0 1 = 70.671 2 = 203.910 3 = 266.250 4 = 386.313 5 = 498.045 6 = 582.512 7 = 701.955 8 = 784.358 9 = 882.358 10 = 968.225 11 = 1111.731 I find this tuning really lovely and colourful, while also being really approachable for those who may not be ready for the more unusual microtonal sounds. Perhaps this could be considered more of a gateway tuning. To me, this feels like a much nicer 12EDO.
