We had a lot of fun with this Giant Inflatable Unicorn Floatie by Plemo. We took it to the creek and tested it out in every possible way and had a blast the whole time. ~Construction & Quality~ This Unicorn is made of a mid-weight vinyl (Probably 3-4mil). All of the seams are right where they are supposed to be and I don't see and defects. All of the valves have a quick deflate valve and a one-way valve for easy inflation and deflation. The main valve does pop open easily if hit or pulled on, even when fully seated and pressed in, but it is still better than most inflatable valves. There are 4 valves; the head, mane, tail, and body. The body has a big 3/4" valve, whereas the other 3 are upgraded small valves. See Video. Even after a day at an Arizona creek with lots of sharp rocks and sticks, we did not get any leaks. ~Kid Friendly?~ I noticed small children (and some adults) have a lot of difficulty getting on it without help. If they try to climb up it from the side using one of the handles, it just flips. Also, with only one small child on it holding the 2 neck handles, it tends to want to lean/flip forward. This can be remedied by sitting back more or having 2 kids on it. The inflation level also plays a big role in how forward heavy it is. The kids all still loved the heck out of it, even with the difficulties. Trying to climb it and falling off it were half the fun for them. ~Rapid Friendly?~ No. Not at All Really. While we did manage to successfully descend a small rapid a couple times, the other 10 resulted in everyone being dumped off. Not a bad thing, it isn't really designed for rapids, we were just playing around. Even getting dumped was fun when you don't hit any rocks. ~Conclusion~ We had a lot of fun with this thing and I think most people would too. While the initial novelty may wear off, the pure joy of floating around on a giant inflatable unicorn is worth the price.
