Arranged by Robert and Louise Aldred. *2011. 4/4 Timing at 50BPM. This is a Championship Dance. Targeted at dancers above Gold or with Competitive Experience **This is the first presentation I have used CBM (Body Turn) and CBMP (Foot Position) extensively after speaking to some fellow dancers who view my work saying they liked there use. What's different about this dance well a few things actually. It starts on the man's RF, ladies LF. It uses variations seen in Competition and rarely seen in school situations unless they have changed the Syllabus for Examinations. It's adopted an Overturned Spin Turn with a brushing action which the lady must comply with, into Turning Lock to Right turned to Promenade *QQSS. Scatter Chasses with a play on syncopations that follow. A Natural Spin Turn under turned with a Walk to Promenade **after A brush turn by both parties. We also have an Over sway which is tucked in after a Quick Open Reverse Turn completing the Sequence. Possibly a light introduction to Scatter Chassis in a Gold Medal Panache Class. At least they would get used to the Sequence and have fun doing something different. After all it all about practice. Please read Notes; - Syncopations during "Scatter Chasses after the Turning Lock to Right turned to Promenade *All done on Ball of foot after stepping Ball(flat) on step 11 *12 to 20. You start these with a Change of Place for the man from PP to Close Hold using Step and Hop S& turning stepping across the lady's path Step and Hop S&. Leading her to the man's right side now. Using the timing of Q& Q& you dance 2 *ref Turning Lock they actually Back Locks that’s 4 1/2 beats. Then continuing for a final Step Hop timed QQ on two single beats. May I suggest that you physically count 2 Bars, *or count 8 from the initial Step Hop to completing the Locks 1234 *5&6& and continue 78 for the final Step Hop then an Outside Change will be SQQ. The Outside Change completed the Lowering since you have been on a high completing the "Scatter Chasses" stepping Outside Partner into a Fishtail without turn stepping into a Natural Spin Turn with a Promenade Ending moving DC before a Walk into a Quick Open and Oversway moving Down LOD. Closing the feet on the Slow *Type of Drag. Then step to side just like the end of a Chasse ladies head to Left. This dance has been put forward in a simplified form. I suggest that you get up to speed after establishing the dance at slower music tempo and being in the right place at the right time. Especially when counting and dancing the "Scatter Chasses" Don't forget Followers steps in another Presentation. "Today the 4th of February I have been invited to become a Life Time Member of my Association *The British Association of Teachers of Dancing" which I will accept on the 17th June 2023 in Glasgow.." I am honoured to receive this award and been of service to the Association and been of help through my work and presentations to my fellow dancers. Help me!
