The first ship I show you is the way I have had to do the forced no ladder builds, use the cockpit that has a staircase. Doing that limits to just two levels, unless you get the Stroud premium package that then gives you access to stair case modules. For the 200 credits the stair cases alone made it worth while for me. I was working on making my own stair case modules; but the NifScope app would not open the mesh files. None of the explanation for how to fix that worked and it just wasn't worth the time and effort to keep trying, especially when there is the Stroud premium mod pack that has a good variety of inclusions and the stair cases all ready done and ready to just build with. Had the extra credits too from buying the Vtol and Watchtower mods, so I grabbed the Stroud pack a day ago and have been playing with it since. The second ship I show (Starting at timestamp 4:00) is using a stair case in two locations, just the way I wanted to configure the ship. There are several stair case configurations that come in the pack. Also from the Stroud premium pack I am using the cockpit, which I think was a really well done usage of space and am really liking it. There are more habs in the package; but I haven't really experimented with them much, so I don't really have an opinion regarding the rest of the pack. I bought the pack really just for the stair cases, the cockpit and other habs I just consider a really nice free bonus to getting the stair cases and not having to fight Nifscope or refresh my skills in Blender to do what is basically what I would have done, eventually after many hours of fighting the creation kit and associated modding tools. The stair cases are a set. You can arrow tab from 2 to 4 levels, I think it goes to 4 levels, it says on the pack so if that matters check what the package inclusions say. I have only build 2 level and 3 level cases so far. I like to stagger a stair case rather than make more than 3 levels. Also you can "Z" tab to change the rotation of the stair case, Stb, Port, Fore and Aft. There will be a side of the module that doesn't have snap points as well and the top and bottom, rotation will change which side. One of the needs to be able to rotate the stair module is in some configurations a door way will be a little bit of a squeeze to get by due to positioning of the direction the door opens and other objects; but rotating the hab gives you the choice of which way the stairs go and the ability to match doorway locations with the hab to which you want to traverse, so you get some ability to adjust for best fit when building. Anyway, thought this was interesting and went ahead and made a short video to show a nice way to build without using ladders.
