Computer-aided drug design uses computational approaches to discover, develop, and analyze drugs and similar biologically active molecules. The ligand-based computer-aided drug discovery (LB-CADD) approach involves the analysis of ligands known to interact with a target of interest. Computational approaches are useful tools to interpret and guide experiments to expedite the antibiotic drug design process. Structure based drug design (SBDD) and ligand based drug design (LBDD) are the two general types of computer-aided drug design (CADD) approaches in existence. Classification. Computer-Aided Drug Designing (CADD) oComputer-Aided Drug Designing (CADD) is a specialized discipline that uses computational methods to simulate drug-receptor interactions oCADD methods are heavily dependent on bioinformatics tools, applications and databases About Dr. Muhammad Naveed Dr. Muhammad Naveed obtained PhD degree in Biotechnology (Genomics & Bioinformatics) from QAU, Islamabad with distinction. He has won PhD indigenous & IRSIP scholarships from HEC. He has done Pre-Doc research from University of Ghent, Belgium.
