On this TrailRecon adventure my son and I head for the Southern California desert just outside of the Salton Sea along the Bradshaw Trail where he is taking his 2015 Toyota Tacoma out for its first long distance off the grid overnight overlanding trip while I'm driving my Jeep Wrangler 392. Along the way we enjoy some incredible scenery, search for some old gold mine remains, stumble across a bit of old railroad history, find the perfect campsite with a sunset that was unlike any we had ever seen before, cook up some great chow and just enjoy having a father and son adventure together.
