Join us on a fun culinary adventure in my hometown, Guayama, Puerto Rico! On my latest trip, I spent a Sunday back in my hometown undergoing a gastronomic renaissance. We start our journey with lunch at El Gallo Pinto, enjoying a sensational lunch and a quick chat with Chef Angel David, the owner and chef of the restaurant. Next, we go to one of my favorite childhood spots, Rex Cream, where we cool off with corn ice cream with a sprinkle of cinnamon. At Chef Angel David's recommendation, we went to Pozuelo to have alcapurrias at El Fogón de Suza, where we indulged in crispy, decadent alcapurrias, embracing the heart of Puerto Rican street food culture. While there, we took a little break and went on a lively boat ride at Paseo a la Bahía with a stunning view of the island's southern coast. We concluded our day at "Prime Market," where we experienced an exquisite steak dinner with a perfectly curated wine list.
