Plot: Adam is reflecting on memories of time in the cage. Then, there’s a blinding light, indicating that the cage has been opened. Adam alerts Michael, who is hesitant to leave(due to trauma of being there for so long). Finally, Adam snaps him out of the ‘trance’ and they leave the cage, returning to the world of the living. Adam goes to a diner to get food, because even though he has an Angel with him, he still thinks they deserve this treat. Afterwards. They find Sam and Dean who are surprised to see him back. They’re adamant about both Michael and Adam being back and go off somewhere to talk. After a while, Michael decides to leave Adam’s body, letting him have freedom and his own body again. However, Adam is crushed, and goes to Sam for help. As they talk, Sam starts to realize that Adam is speaking quite fondly of Michael and asks if he has feelings for him. Adam doesn’t answer, but the silence is enough. Dean shows up and is caught up with the news and shows clear anger about Adam showing sympathy for Michael after everything he did. Then, Dean leaves the room. The next night, Michael visits Adam in his dreams, wearing another vessel. Michael tells Adam that he wanted to give Adam a chance at an actual life, in which Adam reacts bitterly, saying he was just being selfish. Then Michael tells him that he tried to find another suitable vessel, with no luck, so he needed to ask permission back in, Adam reluctantly agrees. It doesn’t take long for Sam and Dean to find out about this, and they’re very adamant and untrusting towards them. Adam tried to explain himself, that he trusted Michael and they were there for each other when no one else was. Dean tells Adam he should be trusting his family, which upsets Adam, and Michael teleports them out of there. Meanwhile, Michael and Adam now have their own quarrels to face. Adam is still upset at Michael for leaving him, in which Michael apologizes. After they’ve made up and confessed their feelings, Michael tells the Winchesters up front about his feelings for Adam.
