EDIT: In the original edit of this video and in the Saga itself, the character of Hvit is referred to as the "princess of the Lapps" and is thereafter cast as the villain of her portion of the story. It's been pointed out to me after the release of this video that Lapp is a slur for the Sami people who have endured generations of oppression, and that the telling of this saga is actually in part a perpetuating of these stereotypes put onto the Sami people for generations by Christians, which are the source of this Saga. Just as the writers of these Sagas are prone to misrepresenting the Norse as brutes, demon worshippers, or atheists, so too do they misrepresent the Sami people in these stories and that racist misrepresentation continues today. And the participants in the continuation of that oppression today is not limited to Christians, but also the existing secular governments in Scandinavia as they place legal restrictions on the Sami people's way of life. I've removed the use of the slur from the edit of this video, as I don't want to perpetuate its usage. And, it's also important to keep in mind the bias of the writers of these Sagas in reading them.
