Springtime on the farm means it’s time to clean up the rough areas and bush hog the pasture. In this video we fire up the Mahindra 5525 tractor and start bush hogging areas we can’t cut for hay. These spots are full of thorn trees, sweet gum trees, briars, and tall grass that grow up through the winter. If we let it go too long, it becomes very hard to manage later in the summer. While bush hogging we also ran into a problem where the tractor started running rough, bogging down, and not pulling like it should. I show a simple fix that could save you a lot of headaches if your tractor ever starts losing power. We try to get these areas knocked down early in the spring before the grass gets too tall and tough to cut.
