Watch this video to learn more about ClearPath SD (Step and Direction). ClearPath-SD is also an easy upgrade over stepper motors giving you smoother, quieter, and more precise closed-loop motion. Be sure to check out Teknic's ClearPath Step and Direction Operational Mode Video as well: • ClearPath Integrated Servo Motor: Step and... To see the overview videos of the other three ClearPath series, follow the links below: ClearPath MC: • ClearPath-MC (Motion Control) Series Overview ClearPath SC: • ClearPath-SC (Software Control) Series Ove... ClearPath EC: • ClearPath-EC (EtherCAT) Series Overview ClearPath SD (step and direction) has a high-speed step and direction interface to allow it to be used with your motion controller as a drop-in replacement for stepper motors and digital servos. No need to rewrite any software, or change from your preferred pulse output controller. There are two power classes for the ClearPath SD model- SDSK (Stepper Killer) and SDHP (High Power). The SDSK model is about 2-3 times the power of an equal sized stepper motor, but lower cost. The SDHP model is more expensive than an equal sized stepper motor, but has 8-15 times more the power. Learn more about the differences between stepper motors, SDSK models, and SDHP models in this video. ClearPath SD has the same state-of-the-art servo performance as the other ClearPath models. After making the switch from a stepper motor to ClearPath SD, your system will no longer miss steps and will run much more quietly, smoothly, and efficiently. Not to mention, ClearPath will run at a much faster speed which results in faster throughput. Teknic wants your feedback. Like this video? Give it a thumbs up!
